Jason Barrett Jason first became interested
in photography as a young boy using his play sets, action figures, and
family to play with forced perspective. His interest in TV and video
grew while hanging out in his parents TV shop. Using the newly invented
VCR he started to do rough cut editing, a whole new world of control
and power for a young boy. Later he studied multi media communications
graduating with a degree in Multimedia Communication. From his love of
TV he also followed a brief path acting including an appearance on the
Kennedy Center Stage in “Breaking the Code” at the American College
Theatre festival. After moving to Taos to Study Earth Ships
he became
involved with the Taos Mountain Film Festival. He also worked on a
television series based out of Taos called “Real Hunter.” Eventually he
moved to the Big Bend. There in Lajitas
he started a pirate radio
station on the Texas Mexico boarder. During political events in San
Carlos, Mexico The PI and the Pri would have debates. He
ended up
falling in love and marrying a beautiful school teacher. He shot
wedding Photos and Videos at Lajitas Golf
Resort and Spa in the Terlingua Ghost Town as well as Quicenetas in the
rural Ejidos of
Mexico. He and his wife subsequently moved to Fort Worth to bring their
amazing daughter Luna into the world. While in Fort Worth he worked for
Olan Mills
as a traveling portrait photographer in the church division
traveling extensively over the DFW Metroplex, Oklahoma , and Louisiana.
Eventually the Big Bend called once more and they moved back to Terlingua
to build their dream home and yoga studio. His passion for
restaurants led him to be General Manager of The
Starlight Theater in
Terlingua. Eventually he also became a partner in the Starlight
and was
responsible for booking and managing all the talent. He used his photo
skills to record Food, entertainment, live events, and anything else
related to the restaurant to promote the venue. After the passing of
his beloved he and his daughter decided to move to the healing
landscape of Wimberley
in the Texas Hill Country, known as the official
wedding capital of Texas, where he is now sharing his love of media,
photography, and video with the good folk of the Hill Country.

Ivars Vilums Living in the Hill Country of
Texas, Ivars loves to indulge his creative side. After starting out as
a photojournalist and musician, he has over 40 years
experience in inventing, developing, and explaining new technologies.
He created the first commercial wireless broadband Internet service
in the world in the 1990's in Austin, Texas before cable and DSL
were available. In the 1980's he invented and patented an optical full color 3D holographic imaging technology
requiring neither glasses nor lasers. He has
worked in areas as diverse as software, electronics, health care,
optics, and entertainment and was involved in very early digital films
and music in the late 1960's and early 70's. These days he devotes his
time to creating photographic
art and short films, writing
stories and commentary, creating
music, and caring for the animals in and around his home bringing a
lifetime of experiences and expertise to his projects.
